Welcome my site! That would be . . . Iris J Peacock
I love my name . . . Iris, it is the name of the most beautiful flower. a flower that blooms in so many colors - hues from deep, rich to soft, and light. The deep purple ones are my favorite.
Then Peacock. Now tell me, just what comes to your mind when you hear or think of the word peacock? Is it the splendor of the male peacock with his glorious feathers in rich deep colors spread in the sunlight to attract and delight us?
Well, that is the image that most people have in their mind when they hear "peacock". As for me, I think of my handsome, strutting husband, Thaddeus J Peacock, and "yes", he fits that image.
BUT . . .
Unfortunately, we "lady" peafowls are not quite so fancy. We will talk more about that later. However, that is what got me thinking ,(yes, that can be dangerous), and I decided to do something about it. I decided to share with all of you ladies of a certain age . . . or anyone else who cares to listen.

Iris J Peacock - My Story
Whimsical . . . Classic . . . Chic . . . and Sassy! That is the mental image that I now have of Iris J Peacock. I must admit that it has taken some time, but I plan to make the very most of the life I have. No more . . . I wish I was . . . or I should be . . . instead . . . I am going to be ME. The person I was created to be.
Ladies, life is so very, very short.
It is time to step back, take a few minutes and think about the image we have of ourselves.
We WILL NOT BE DULL and BORING nor dictated to by those who have “ideas” of what women should or should not be or how they should look.
This website is dedicated to women “of a certain age” who do not want to be DOWDY, DULL, BORING and considered OLD.
Let’s have fun . . . with our clothes, jewelry, handbags and accessories(dainty, bold, fun, vintage or whatever).
Let’s strut our stuff, just like those male peacocks.
So take notes ladies and keep coming back. We are going to share the delights of being female of all races, mature, skinny or fluffy (my sister's term for overweight), we are going to be the BEST at who WE ARE!
